Conservative leader Paul Weyrich spoke the truth out loud in 2007 at a church conference.

"Now many of our Christians have what I call the goo-goo syndrome — good government.

They want everybody to vote. I don't want everybody to vote. Elections are not won by a majority of people, they never have been from the beginning of our country and they are not now.

As a matter of fact, our leverage in the elections quite candidly goes up as the voting populace goes down."

Back in the 2000 presidential election, we saw the beginnings of this slow motion coup in live action. The Supreme Court took sides and stopped the vote count in Florida. Years later Justice O'Connor would go on to question the majority opinion in Bush v. Gore.

Florida was already known a traditionally shady state when it came to election fraud. The 2,000 presidential election proved that we were indeed moving backward in terms of voting rights and enfranchisement.

I really don't see this as a Left v Right issue at all. This is an issue of right and wrong.
