Hi Pamela. I’m glad you liked the article. Here’s more information on content marketing templates for you to consider. I hope it helps.

There are a few ways to do this. You can take one of your existing writing samples and break it down into its separate components. Title, opening paragraph, the body of the article and your closing paragraph. Now inspect each section and think of how many ways each could be written. You’re looking for the common patterns in your work.

Now that’s just your bare outline. It’s still considered a template. You can save a copy of this and use it to start your brief articles. However, let’s take it further. Let’s say you write a lot about bathroom fixtures. You have several types of articles that you produce:

  • How to
  • Product descriptions
  • Troubleshooting
  • Comparisons
  • Q&A

Each type of article may have its own variation in tone and make up. Compare your previous work in each and look for areas where you can create a skeleton version of the article with sample sentences.

It might look like a mystery at first, but you’ll get the hang of it after a little practice.

When you work with templates, don’t just fill in the blanks and call it done. Templates help you get started. They speed up the preliminary writing process to allow you more time to be creative.

Once you’ve selected your template and filled in the details, put the work aside and get some research done. Come back and fill in the work’s body with all the useful information you’ve gathered and get your edits done.

In the end, your finished work may not look like the first draft, but that doesn’t matter. The process worked. These are just tools to help you get more organized and have a standard workflow.

In copywriting we used to say “Only newbies start from scratch”.
