I have family members who are locked into the partisan trap of voting GOP. It's like watching a family station wagon full of people who are going 90 miles an hour with no brakes heading for the cliff.

Telling them to take their foot off the gas and apply the hand brake, while adjusting the steering, seems to do no good.

The fear of being wrong (again), is too much for them. So many conservatives have needlessly died because death seems to be more preferable than saying "mea culpa".
