I'm all for tools that make creatives get the work done in less time with better quality. Unfortunately, tech always ends up appealing to the lowest common denominator. That's capitalism at its grossest.

At my age, I welcome any assistance I can get to keep me on task, fine tune my structure, help me think or guide me to a satisfying conclusion of a project.

I don't even mind the idea of the AI helping to identify ideas that appeal to the tastes of specific audiences. If it's used by people to craft a better product, then it's doing its job of making better products.

Of course, we know how human nature operates. AI will surely be abused by that small percent of us that screws things up every damn time. That has been the case with every application of technology since fire.

Commerce will adapt to AI (as it does any other technology) for profit. Those who depend on capitalism to survive will have to keep outsmarting the bean counters. It's a viscous circle.

Full disclosure, I'm using an online AI-powered grammar checker as I produce this comment.
