Ok, I was chuckling, then rolling on this line. I have no skin in the reparations department (I'm an immigrant) but as a marketing guy, I have to agree 100%. Speak softly and keep building that big stick.

Right now, the US Congress is the most diverse its every been (well, on one side of the isle). Roughly a quarter of the 117 Congress is considered an ethnic or racial minority. That's a start but there's still a long way before we can confidently secure a political firewall against White supremacy.

As the legendary Tony Montana opined, "In this country, you gotta' make the money first. Then when you get the money, you get the power. Then when you get the power, then you get the reparations."

The oligarchs are still trying desperately to keep people of color who won't tow the line from the halls of power. They are not about to let their minions hand out reparations while they can still have breath in their lungs.

To many of the old guard, its all about the power. The congress right after the Civil War, paid reparations to the Southern oligarchs. They kept many of them in Congress!

They've known for a long time that people with assets and disposable income will look to political power in order to secure their future and the future of their families. They don't want to share.

Let's keep working on getting the money and the power, but let's not say it too loudly. The oligarchs are listening.
