This was a tough read for me because I came to the US as a little kid in the 60s. I still remember the Viet Nam war, the marches, the summer riots, the crazy things that occured in the 60s and 70s. Those decades were tough for many.

We pulled through with the help of good people.

We haven't hit bottom yet, but it feels like the social turmoil is happening all over again to take us down a deeper rabbit hole.

I still hope for the eventual turnaround to happen in my lifetime. It seems that we go through this loop every few decades.

One step forward - two steps back.
