Well, from my perspective, it's not sympathy it's pandering.

… forced to live under oppressive circumstances as second-class and, … forced to live under oppressive circumstances as second-class and, at times, third-class citizens. The fact that someone can be sympathetic to Jewish people's persecution and not that of Black and Indigenous people is perplexing. Still, some White Americans have a two-faced, color-coded approach to condemning persecution.
