“Man in India Marries Cobra to End Snake’s Curse: A man in India married a cobra to break a supposed curse on the snake.”

These headlines, while funny (sure, they’re really clickbait for advertisers), do give us pause to ask, “What the hell is wrong with society?”

Have you ever engaged in a conversation with someone in a store and realized midway through that they couldn’t differentiate between reality and fiction?

Bryan Cranston, who played Walter White in “Breaking Bad,” has recounted fans approaching him with concern about his health (due to the character’s cancer storyline) or even asking him to cook meth!

Actors portraying superheroes often face this. People who genuinely believe Chris Evans can fight crime have approached him.

This is not a new social issue. Social media has just made it more evident that people are complex creatures who may not have it all together. We never got an owner’s manual for operating our brain.
